Ford Launches ‘Bronco Trail App’ at Bronco Safari 2023
The free Bronco Trail App offers 1,200 curated off-road trail maps covering 18,000 miles plus video recording and a tire pressure gauge.
Ford has unveiled its new Bronco Trail App for Apple iOS and Google Android devices at Bronco Safari 2023 in Utah. The app, exclusively designed for Bronco SUV owners, features roughly 1,200 curated off-road trail maps across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. It also allows users to record drives with waypoints, photos, and videos, and share their adventures on social media.
Matt Winter, Bronco Brand Manager, stated, “The Bronco Trail App is the perfect companion for those looking to get the most out of their Bronco, especially when they go off the beaten path. We know our customers value the time they take to go out there and get away from it all, and this app offers them an easy way to share the exciting experiences they have and connect with other off-roaders.”
To access the app’s features, Bronco owners need to download the app and link it to their FordPass account. Key features include:
- Curated trail maps: Discover ~18,000 miles of existing trails; filter by location, length, and difficulty; and save trails for future adventures.
- Points of interest: Track challenges, scenic spots, waypoints, photo opportunities, and add your own experiences.
- Satellite imagery and 2D topographic maps: Access and download different maps for use away from cell towers.
- Tire pressure gauge: A real-time tire pressure gauge is built into the app, assisting with tire pressure adjustments for different terrains.
- Adventure tracking: Bookmark and record favorite trails and share experiences with other Bronco owners.
- Video capture: Capture video of their drives with overlay data like speed, RPM, distance traveled, and elevation, and share the videos via text or social media.
The Bronco Trail App is free to download and use, and is now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Future updates will continue to expand the app’s trail selection and features.
