Is Ford Heading in the Right Direction?
The only thing more American than fireworks on Independence Day is armchair quarterbacking. Running one of the largest automakers in the world is no easy task for anyone, but there’s always something we think we’d do differently if we were in charge. Here’s your chance to voice your opinion on the top of Ford heading in the right direction.
Alan Mulally, former CEO of Ford, arguably saved the company for near certain doom. He implemented the One Ford plan, and when I had an opportunity to ask him about his greatest accomplishment, he’s extremely proud of getting all of the branches at Ford to work together. He also ushered in both the new aluminum-bodied F-150 and the redesigned 2015 Mustang.
Replacing Mulally is Mark Fields. A long time Ford employee, he is being tasked to move the company forward. He’s responsible for overseeing worldwide growth, and for us enthusiasts, he’s overseeing one of the company’s biggest pushes in performance ever.
I spend a lot of my time covering Ford, looking at their future, and trying to figure out where they are heading. While I have my own opinions on the matter, I want to hear from you, the reader.
