2017 Ford F-150 Raptor “Finishes” the Mint 400 Desert Race

Mint 400

The all-new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor race truck was the only stock truck competing in the Best in the Desert factory stock class for full-sized trucks at this year’s Mint 400.

In a field of 68 teams that started the race in the all-stock limited class, only 19 managed to cross the finish line, and of course, the Raptor was one of them, highlighting its build quality, reliability and race-proven performance. Not to mention the skill of its drivers, Greg Foutz and Tim Casey.

The Raptor features a completely stock 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine, paired to the all-new 10-speed transmission and torque-on-demand transfer case, as well as the new generation fully boxed, high-strength steel frame, and military-grade aluminum-alloy body.

Because engine and suspension performance couldn’t be put to the ground without great tires, the Ford Performance 17-inch headlock-capable wheels featured the next-generation BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires for enhanced off-road prowess.

We certainly look forward to the Ford F-150 Raptor hitting showroom floors later this year!
