2005 Ford Excursion

Owner is parting with his clean Excursion for a smaller rig for his downsized needs.

The warm temperatures rolling through most of the United States mean one thing: it’s springtime again! That means plenty of spring cleaning to do, which means getting together the tools to make it happen. That includes visiting our Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace, where you can clean out your garage, or find the right rig to haul away the winter doldrums.

And what a haul we happened upon the other day! This 2005 Excursion is ready for new adventures, and has the room to clear out your whole house! What’s it doing in our marketplace? Let’s find out.

“So, the time has come to sell my baby,” writes Codelizard on his purchaseme.info page. “It’s been my daily driver for the past six years. It’s been rock solid, and most of my repairs have been done by the local Ford dealership […] I love the truck, but its no longer what I need. My kids are all grown and we no longer fill the truck for road trips. I’m ready to downsize into something more fitting for one to three people rather than five to six.”

In front of the steering wheel is a 6.0-liter PowerStroke turbo-diesel V8, which replaced the venerable 7.3-liter in the middle of the 2003 model year. Thanks to the seller’s constant maintenance, the motor is solid, with plenty of torque to move the 13-foot Pueblo Gold Excursion anywhere.

Inside, the Excursion is ready to take the whole crew out on the open road. The driver and front passenger have access to an aftermarket infotainment system with Sirius XM, while the rear passengers enjoy DVDs on the small screen. There are also two rear-passenger HVAC controls, a pair of second-row captain’s chairs, and enough room behind the third row for lots of luggage.

The Atlanta-based seller is asking $16,000 for this big rig. He adds that buyers should either be local, or be ready to fly to drive this beauty back home.

If this Excursion doesn’t put a spring in your step, though, we have more waiting for you in our Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace. Come on over today!
