I haven't used X Plan in many years since they did away with it for Ford stockholders. But can it be assigned to a person outside of your household? I seem to recall in the past that it could not.
Over the years, I've had several pins given to me from Ford Employees who, Ive never met. So yes in the past, employees could give out pins., ie the Friends and Family.
But it has become so easy to join the Mustang Club, American Quarter Horse, Expermental Aircraft etc and as part of memberships get an X-plan, I have not bothered to try and find an employee to get a pin from in years.
Also my dealere will almost almost match or beat X-plan. It just hasn't had the cost savings motivation it used to have to go get an X-plan.
X-Plan isn’t even worth your time, get a PCO and see if they offer anything else as far as factory rebates. If you are purchasing under your LLC or S-Corp there may be additional commercial rebates that aren’t widely advertised. I bought mine through my LLC and they were able to match A/Z plan price on the invoice between the dealer discount and then an additional $4300 in factory incentives with what was available commercially. MSRP on mine was $75,590, I got it for A/Z. Ask for the invoice, it will have all the plans listed on the bottom. Beating X-plan will be no issue for most dealers, dealers like Grainger run on 4% below invoice, which beats X-Plan and is no-haggle. FYI you can use your PCO from Ford commercially as well, but you will have to provide proof of ownership in the Corp.
I think this has been common for several years now. The X Plan isn't what it used to be, if it really ever was a great deal.
I found that to be true as well. Granger's below invoice price beat X-Plan on my truck order by $3,069, and that takes into account my costs of flying out and driving back.
Literally go on cars.com, search options you want, sort by lowest price... Win. I paid $52k out the door for a new 24 XL STX cc 4x4 7.3. no alphabet plan was used or special anything to get that price.

Ford PCOs are like ex-GFs just after you get married, they come around when you need them the least. I got PCO twice in the last six years. Once after I took delivery of my 22. The other time when I was ordering my 2026 but ONLY on in stock 2025s, except my build is not something normally stocked on lots(RCLB, 7.3, STX, 4.30)
I did the whole song and dance of registering on ford website, playing around with configuration, even went so far as calling their marketing department to make sure my email is on file with them. Oh well, this is probably my last Ford in a while so whatever, I used X plan from one of the participating ords and called it a day.
X plan also limits doc fees to $300. That is an additional savings of about $1k when buying from dealers here in FL.
True, but X-plan also adds its own administrative fee of $375, so you're looking at $675 in fees with X-Plan currently.
That's crazy about Florida, I thought Georgia was bad. In contrast, Iowa limits doc fees to $180.
