Anyone try the Accel DOHC COP's (140034-8)??

Just wondering if anyone has tried this set? I have had four misfire CEL's (two on each side) and replace two coils with Motorcraft DG-512's and probably will have to replace two more shortly. Hate to keep spending $60+ for each coil and may just get the entire Accel set (around $170) and replace all eight of them at once. Just curious if ayone has any feedback on them. Really wish MSD made these things...

Accel makes good coils from what I have seen, not like the overhyped crap MSD puts out. Be glad that MSD does not make one. I have used MSD coils before. They do produce a lot of spark energy, and they do hold up will, but they tend to produce short high energy bursts. The Accels tend to produce a more elongated discrarge, which tends to translate to real world gains better. The MSD might do better at 8,000 RPM, but for street use, you need the extended discharge rate. Accel should be fine, but realize they will strain the plugs more. You should consider switching to Autolite XP Iridiums to match the Accel coils. If you switch to Accel, you should replace all of them.
