Regulator Screen

So i attemped to clean my screen today.
Everything was going OK until I dropped it in the valley never to be seen again.
Is it something I can buy at Ford?
I need the truck tomorrow so i guess I drive without the screen.
Is that a real bad idea?

That's the reason I always say clean it from inside the bowl and don't take the FPR off. But never fear. Find a screen of similar mesh....i.e. a faucet screen in the house from the sink, or a screen from something you "may" find at a smoke shop etc. cut it to size around the plastic piece which can be removed from the FPR. ******But be careful, there is a plastic check ball behind it!!!!****** Once you have your new screen the size it needs to be heat up the screen glowing red with a lighter. Quickly stick it to the plastic piece and melt it together. You could use a flat blade screwdriver to push on it a little. That should take care of it. Hope that helps.

My truck did not have one when I got it. Had about 110k on it when I picked up on this. Truck seems fine.I think the screen is to help remove air from the fule. I got a pipe screen from a smoke shop. The silver ones are stainless steel and a real pain to cut to size so you might want to use the brass ones if you go this route. Thanks Rubber Duck for sending me the plastic ball I lost and goon luck Vinford.

Latter.......

Yup. Sounds like it. You or the PO before you. It's little bitty too. Goes in in the order that RÖENTGEEP shows in his second pic. Ball, then screen, then o-ring over screen housing.

Nice pics RÖENTGEEP

Westcoastslider mentioned the O-Ring. I want to put emphasis on the 0-Ring Don't loose it or you will have
Big Leak.

You can get the OEM replacement kit fro the stealership for around $35.00 and you can rest assured that it won't be in stock and it will have to be ordered. A call to the International Dealer might be a better way to go if you have one close by.
