Cool FPR Screen

Where is the FPR screen located? I removed the two bolts holding it but there is no screen there!

Unbolt the FPR from the fuel filter housing, pull it away from the housing. The part that goes into the housing with the o-ring on it has the screen in it. See item # 9157 in attached.

FPR screen

Well I got it apart and someone removed the screen from the end of it. Do I need to have this filter?

From what I hear from the other guys, you may not need it (they said you couldn't buy the screen by itself), but there is a reason the screen is there and it does require periodic cleaning.

Try the bone yards and see if you can find it there. If you do find one, pay close attention as to how it is installed. You don't want it coming loose and getting into some place it isn't supposed to be.

Good luck.
