No, that's not a typo, got a free MAP fooler in the mail today. Check it out:

What you see is a 4.7 volt zener diode. Hook the banded end of the diode to the light green/black wire and the other end into the gray/red wire going to your MAP sensor. This is an electrical way for tricking the MAP sensor, it limits the voltage to 4.7 so that you don't throw an overboost code. I snagged it for free from a member on another site, but they can also be had super cheap on Ebay (I've seen them as low as $0.05 per). It won't do me much good until I get a DP Tuner, but I figured it can't hurt and thought I'd share the info.

I did alot of research on this, and testing actually. I havent actually ran a zener in the truck, but ive heard of it destroying the map sensors in them. Heres a link to my research. http://powerstrokenation.com/forums/...ead.php?t=5979 Also, from what my research told me, was the map doesnt supply enough current to make the zener work correctly anyways. It may work for you, but the "people" wanted it to be perfect. My solution was using an "op-amp" And it works pretty well, however, its not on the truck either, its still at the workbench. Good luck to you either way.

Interesting... what I read on a different site had completely different results. My head is about to explode, I'll have to continue reading that later! You sound like someone who knows electronics well... maybe I'll just take your word for it

I tried my best, and added the appropriate resistor to make a zeners over voltage go accross the resistor instead of the map, which i think is what kills them, but no matter how i tried, i couldnt make the zener work for that application. Not saying it cant be done, i just couldnt, and i spend quite abit of time measuring voltages and current, and then how that affected what the map could provide. The opamp is definetly the solution for electronic correction, but the OBA is the mechanical tried and true solution I will probably end up buying anyways, so i dont have to worry about effects of weather on connections under the hood anyways.
