Those lumpy cams do not idle well with speed density, but with mass air, that isn't a problem.

Tell us a little more about your rig, plans/goals and its main purpose.

The cam you have now: 256/266 advertised duration .422/.445 lift. Add 1.7 rockers, the lift goes up to .445/.473. 116*LSA

i have a mass air truck. its mostly a daily driver that i tow with. i just want a little more power and a better sounding idle. it already has true duel exhaust other than that the motor is stock. i plan to put on roller rockers.

Bumping up to 4.56 gears would help quite a bit.

You can bump the base timing up a few degrees, and that'll help and it's a free mod too.

Shorty headers will yield a slighty louder exhaust note with minor performance improvements. Most of these bolt-on pieces do not require any other exhaust modifications; just install it and go. Long tube headers will make a little more power, over shorties, and a louder exhaust note. However, some exhaust modifications are required to the mid-pipe section to accommodate LT's . You may also need to lengthen the O2 sensor harness as well....I had to do that with mine anyway.
