sub woofer for F250 2003 CC?

Hi all! I'm looking for a (loud) subwoofer for a 2003 F250 diesel crew cab.

1) Anyone have any premade boxes that you recomend?
2) Any recomendations on either
A) Raising the rear seat and putting subs under them or
B) Moving the rear seat forward and putting subs behind the rear seat?

I ?think? I like (A) better, so I still have some storage room behind the rear seats, but am looking for any experiences folks have had.

THanks!

I have 3 JL AUDIO 8 inch subs behind my seat, they are the W3-8's and they POUND! The key is using a quality amp, I am using the JL AUDIO 500. My seat is all the way back, my box is custom made to fit behind the seat, the 8's didn't require as much airspace, but the quality of JL is tough to beat! My truck is a 2000 F250 Crew Cab diesel 4X4. I've heard of guys squeezing 10's behind the seat, but the truth is, with a tiny magnet, you're not gonna get the good bass. I highly reccomend JL's.

well I have 4 10" subs and they hit HARD .. they've knocked my rearview mirror down from vibration - I'd say that works ... this was built by the stereo installer - no modifications to the seat made at all

Thats a sick setup. Ive got two 10" sitting behind that seat right now, I want four... What kind of amp do you have running those?

None2:

1) They have premade boxes at crutchfield that houses an amp and one 10" sub. But like TNT, mine is custom.

I would stay with the clean setup like TNT or myself has. It sounds good and is room friendly. Just remember, the quality of the bass depends on how well that box is made, its more than 60% of the bass.

This is what i'm about to buy. I heard it in a quick set up demo in a tahoe. all I can say is WOW. I've found it for $399. I think it'll be well worth it.

Anyone put a subwoofer UNDER the rear seat? Or does everyone just use the storage space behind the rear seat?

I would prefrer to put the sub under the seat, and still have the storage space.

Anyone done this?

Thanks!

I had a friend who put a couple subs under his seat in an F150. It sounded great, but it raised the seat high enough that an adult can barely fit in the backseat without banging his/her head on the roof! Very limited space under there. Let us know if you pull it off!
