Chips/Tuners and plowing

I am going to be doing some plowing this winter with my truck and I also want some more power for having some fun. What would be the best chip or tuner for what I want?

DP-Tuner. So far nobody has said they regret buying his product nor has anyone said that they went his way then another way and are happier. Give him a call and he will advise you what you need. Few times I talked to him, he doesn't seem in a hurry to push a product. Asked him about the SCTII tuner and whether I would use it to the full potential. He basically said "If it were me, I would get it. You probably won't use it so much."

yes, call up Jody Tipton at DPtuner. tell him what you want, what you have done to your truck, etc. and your plans. he will either make a custom program or suggest something that you are sure to love.

Just a thought, if you dont have gauges in your rig it would be a good idea, plowing is just as much stress on the truck as towing and if you don't watch it your askin for trouble.

plowing snow is also extremely hard on transmission temps. if you add a chip, gauges are recommended so you can keep track of the tranny temps. if you have high temps, a huge cooler and electric fan are recommended as there isnt much airflow over it when plowing due to the slow speeds, and usually snow gets clogged up there.

I do have guages and I plan to put on another tranny cooler in conjunction with the stock one. I also plan on putting new fuilds in before the season starts. Thanks for all the advice.

I was told by Dennis whien I inquired abbout a chip, that the best bet for plowing would prob. be the stock mode, just because it might be tough keeping the tires planted while plowing.
