from my looking and asking, no one makes a stroker kit fro the v10, but the crank is a forged steel piece from the factory. in all reality the v10 is already a 4.16 stroke which is pretty long (longer than the stroke on a 408 351w stroker). if you do find anything post it up because a v10 stroker would definentyl turn hsome heads!

My understanding is the stroke is as long as it can be...hence why the 5.4L (same stroke) can not go to 5.8 Litres.

they do make a stroker for the 5.4l that will take it from 4.16 to 4.5 inches.

That would make a 355 cube motor...why can't Ford do this I wonder?

The V-10 would be 445 cubes...what a beast.

a 4.5 stroke on a v10 would be awsome, but i doubt that that alone would make for a lot more hp. all in all it would probably be worth 50ft/lbs and mabey a few extra horses but that would be about it. the best thing that could be done would to be to port the heads and get more flow into the engine as it is now, then stroking the engine would look like a lot better option. ehh just go get a super charger and have fun

one name for mod-motors

Sean Hyland, someone ought to pose a challenge for Sean, if you did it right I'll bet he'd fool around with a V10. He's that kind of guy. Very much like Gale Banks but without the salesman BS all the time. I looked at some 5.4 stroker kits he has. Very nice, he's got all the cool mod stuff, and if he don't, he'll make it. We need Capt Charlie or Fred von to sidle up to Sean and ask him some questions, get his brain spinning. The say "I'd bet there's nobody around who could soup up one of these V10's" "But boy-oh-boy, I bet it would be an awesome motor, don't ya think Sean" ?

i wonder how hard it would really be to turn out a billet crank for the v10, and come to think of it, that new 5.4l race block that sean has would just need to have 2 more cylinders grafted onto it to make it a really nive v10 block. the real quest for power would lay in the heads.does anyone know if the v10 and 5.4l heads flow the same stock or are the fundamentally diferent? i really like you idea ken, can anyone say bb cheby killer or hemi eater

i have good news. i was looking around on the net and found a place that says they can make a custom billet crank. it can be up to 40" long and 10" in diameter. i don't know if this would be big enough to do any kind of a stroker, but its a start. does anyone know the size of the rod bearing on the crank on the v10?
