diesel leak
I have a 99, F350 that has a diesel leak. It does not leak out the drain tube on the passenger side front of the engine coming from the fuel filter drain petcock. ffice:office" />
It does have a puddle on top of the engine and appears to leak from the passenger side rear area near the exhaust down pipe. I thought that I read some ware that the injector "O" rings could leak. Has anyone had this problem with leaking in that area?

I had a similar problem when my fuel pump went out. Check the weep hole under the fuel pump. When the diaphram goes out it starts to leak fuel out that point and leave a puddle on top of the V of the engine. The pump still keeps the truck going but the leaking gets worse and worse. If thats the source then replacing the fuel pump is the solution.

Your leak, I would guess, is coming from the seal between the drain valve and filter housing. The injector o-rings are inside the cylinder head and there is no chance of a leak from them getting out to the valley.

Fridged,
He has a '99. It doesn't have the pump mounted in the valley. His is underneath the truck mounted on the frame rail.
Only the earlier, old-body-style trucks have a valley-mounted mechanical pump.
Like Kwik said, I'd go with the two little o-rings in the drain valve need replacing. They're cheap at $6 for the pair, and pretty simple to replace.
