Differential Fluid

If you are not sure what fluid you need for sure, I would go with the dealer specs as some axles need an additive with the fluid for limited slip, etc. 17.00 a quart sounds high to me also but if that is what is recomended, I would use it. I use Amsoil myself. A lot of people do not like Amsoil here because it is a MLM company but they have a proven synthetic history since 1972.

The rear takes 75w140 synthetic - $17 is actually cheap from the dealer. Last time I checked locally it was $20. Advance also sells it for $15 and WalMart sells it for $9.
Front is 75w90. I would use synthetic. Mobil 1 or Castrol is about $6-$7 quart. They usually take about 2.5 quarts per diff.
Transfer case is regular transmission fluid.

i put 2 quarts of 80-90 weightstandard gear lube in the front and i put 75-90 synthetic blend- 3 quarts in the back with 6 ounces of limit slip addative. the regular gear lube is about $3 and synthetic blend is bout $5. full synthetic is about $10.--- i get all at Auto Zone. they have the addative also.
