Valve Stems on DRW

I anybody else having trouble with the rubber valve stems on their DRW Aluminum rims. I have lost 3 the third one today on the way back from camping plus this is the second time I have ruined a tire. The stem split at the base of the stem I'm not sure if the wheel is cutting them or just bad stems.

Never heard of a bad stem .... but three in a row?? Do the stem holes have sharp edges?

Have you considered switching to the metal valve stems that are held in by a nut and rubber washer?

Texascadillac42 I looking into that now, but I'm not sure that the metal ones will fit into the recess bored into the aluminum wheels.

I had the same problem on my class C E350. The previous owner had put new tires on it and the tire place did not install the high pressure valve stems.

You most likely have a standard pressure valve stem on your tires. and it will not handle the 60-80 psi you put in the tires.

The stems that are going bad are the ones that came with the truck when new, I am replacing all 4 back tires and stems (metal) and braking down the front ones and replacing the stems with metal also.
