Does anybody out there know who makes a central tire inflation system? I spent about 3hrs searching on the internet, and came up with little to nothing that applies to our trucks. Don't tell me I have to make one myself...........

Have you checked with suspension tires and wheels?

Not really- this is just step one. What it is is a system that allows tire pressure control from the driver's seat, either per wheel or per axle. It's on most Hummers (the real ones, not those H#2's), and on a lot of construction tractors. The only aftermarket system I've been able to find is by Meritor/Dana, for 18 wheelers.

What are you installing it on? Not the best idea going. If you get one flat you get a bunch.

Hummer does and is VERY expensive; it is an integral part of the entire vehicle

Try looking into AM General , AMC (JEEPs) was a division of them.
We use them on our 900 series 5 tons in the Army. Problem is getting them to work properly.
Havent seen it on to many military Humvees. Its relitively inexpensive at least through pickle suit channels.
When it works righ its an excellent system.
CentralTire InflationSystem. I t allows you to inflate or deflate your tires to the road conditions you are on. Military applications have Highway, sand, snow, runflat and one other. It normally works off the airtanks on larger vehicles, not sure with smaller though.

Well, this is for my 84 F-250, I am getting ready to do the "next stage" on it, including four wheel air suspension, around 37-39" tires, and the strong possibility of a severely built 5.9 Cummins. The CTIS would be a cool to have type thing, but not required. I figure since I will have onboard air, why not? I am getting some metalworking equipment before to long, so I may just make my own.

Ford has a version of it but it looks like it is only on military vehicles (this manual mentions 24v systems so I Assume it's a military only option...but that is only an assumption)

That would be a neat set up, but think about how that air gets from a compressor to the tire. I has to go through the axle shaft. Or, a pressurized axle housing. Gotta way to drill axles? Like the "oiled" look on your wheels and tires?

On-board air is more than most have, and you can spend that year of development, trial and error, and expense on a set of chrome truck nutz or something really useful.....
