the above is a a rendering, from the recent spy photos and dealer viewings (some salesman got to see it and one posted a video) it has tbe body of the navigator concept with explorer styled face and tailgate.
Ha! No - I meant is that the true 2018 or an "artists rendering" as I suspect it is. If this is the final product I like it. I can do without the the blind spot sensor just behind the front wheel though. One trip around the block in the slush and that thing is useless.
I know...it's all good my friend. I didn't know that was a Blind spot sensor....I've got the sensors on my '17 Expy and don't have those doodads behind the front wheels.
If I take the black & white camo version first posted, then remove the rear roof cowling, they look VERY similar...but who knows. I'm sure the new ones will be full led instead of partial and the wiring will be reduced in size to handle the smaller loads....
I live this 3.5 engine though and this is my third Expy....and it's light years ahead of the 5.4L engine!
I was only guessing at what that wart is on the fender. This is my first Expedition and first Ford since 1999. They have come a long way for sure! I am hoping the 2018 will be at the upcoming auto shows in Jan/Feb.
I am eagerly awaiting the launch of the new expy. I hope Ford doesn't let me down. I guess worst case scenario, they bring out a dud and I can easily talk my wife into keeping her '15 a few more years.
Oh yeah, overhead DVD players that are integrated into the vehicles entertainment system. We had a 2009 suburban that had a DVD player for the second and third row. The DVD was played from the dash, and you could watch it from there as well. Something like that would be worth the $1995.

only difference i would make is to make the dvd players inserted diff from the other player and front head unit, that way i can listen or use it for my own entertainment and they can use it sep. powerfold second row seats and a removeable sec row console would be nice 2. autopilot function as well as heated steering wheel and armrests.

In this day and age, I wouldn't think NHTSA or the Ford lawyers, would allow a DVD screen on the dashboard, that was viewable from the driver's seat, to be on while the vehicle is not in Park. The Sync system won't even show text messages, unless stopped.
Control AC from steering wheel like the 11 Edge could. Lock and unlock the doors from the door handle like the 15 Edge. Blu Ray player not DVD. Android Auto and whatever the iOS version is. Adaptive cruise control.
There's needs to be a way to lock the vehicle without arming the alarm system. When you flat tow one of these, the only way to keep the alarm from going off while you're going down the road is to leave it unlocked. Why not disable the alarm when Neutral Tow is engaged and the vehicle is moving? I would think the computer knows when the vehicle is moving or not. It should be fairly easy to do.
