I have a 94 F150. I get a flashing Amp Light with Code 13(Intermittent Short In Airbag System). Have read about it and have a basic understanding of the problem. This doesn't bother me all that much and chasing down the short is not a priority at this point. However, sometimes, the Flashing Light is replaced by a Chime/Tone in place of the light, which then dings the same 1-3 Code as the light normally flashes.. I am told this is happening because the truck thinks the warning light is not working. This is intermittent and extremely irritating. Anyone know where this Tone Speaker might be located? I just want the Tone to be disabled. Will worry over finding the Air Bag Problem at a later date...

Why wouldn’t you figure out what is wrong with the air bag instead of just unplugging the module? The codes are here:

Air bag shorted to ground so are you also having any problems with the horn and / or cruise control? Does the light come on during the self test when you first turn the key?
