Gas Cap

Hey folks - I'm new to the Econoline pickup series but not new to Ford trucks. I just bought a 62 pickup and need to know if the gas cap needs to be vented or non-vented. It has a rebuilt 170ci motor
Thanks, Ken

The problem you'll find is even the so-called "vented" reproductions available today aren't.

Tedster - I understand- used to be that "new" meant "good" - no more.
#Dummy - You always amazed me over on the F100 site with your parts knowledge - Now I can continue to be amazed. Thanks, Ken

Yeah I had a new "vented" cap on my 1974 F350 - turns out it wasn't really vented until I took a drill bit to it.
