Question for Number Dummy...
I see we are neighbors.
CODD-9030-B (later r/b [replaced by] CODZ-9030-D) = 1960/63 Falcon/Comet except Station Wagon & Falcon Ranchero / 1961/67 Econoline.
You cannot go by part number prefixes to ID what years the parts fit, or what vehicles they are used on, because...
Ford is in-famous for updating 10's of 1000's of part numbers every
year! The original...installed at the factory fuel caps (8A-9030 r/b A9AZ9030A) were painted body color, but Ford obsoleted the primered replacement cap sold at the parts counter with a chrome cap.
8A-9030 replaced by A9AZ-9030-A replaced by B6TZ-9030-A .. Fuel Cap-Chrome (Motorcraft FC23) / Fits: 1948/72.
Originally this chrome cap (and the original painted caps) had serrations around the edge. Later the serrations were removed, and some of the B6TZ cap have a Stant decal
in the center. With or without the decal, the later cap is dished inwards where the decal is placed.
That being said, I have no idea if the B6TZ caps found at dealers/obsolete parts vendors today are the original style, or not...
Because...this time while Ford changed the design, they did not update the B6TZ part number!
However, I did find =
8A-9030
LINCOLN OLD PARTS STORE in Clearwater FL has ONE = 727-445-1091.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
A9AZ9030A
JST AUTOMOTIVE in Lebanon TN has ONE = 615-443-3086.
GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 27 = 800-543-4959.
8A-9030 is supposed to be primered. A9AZ-9030-A = I dunno what the finish is, the parts catalog doesn't say.
VERIFY before buying. Also make sure these caps aren't the later B6TZ caps w/o the serrations, and ugly decal.
