71 E-200 power steering mystery

just got this rig and it's got a Cadillac steering column mounted into what I believe to be the stock gearbox and power steering system. I'm hoping to get some help confirming that these parts are original. The power assist I think it's called that mounts between the steering box and the idler arms ( please excuse my lack of proper terminology ) is so different from anything I've ever seen in a power steering setup....

I'm hoping I can just slip in a stock column.

Bill, I've got a leak I'm going to be tracking down in that system, do you think that rebuild kits are still available and is there a service manual for it?

D1AZ-3B584-A .. Ford/Thompson P/S Pump Seal Kit same 1971/77 cars/trucks & 1971/74 Econolines / Available from auto parts stores/repro parts sellers.

You will need a 1969 Econoline shop manual with 1970 & 1971 supplements, try faxonautolit.com
