So my 93 f250 has a 460 in it now. I will be doing a diesel conversion this coming winter. My question is......will the gasser fuel tanks work with the diesel? I still have my wrecked 97 power stroke that I can keep the diesel tanks from. I have a guy that wants to take the whole wrecked truck so I need to figure out if I need to remove the tanks.
I'd be curious to know the capacity of the two different tanks. You might want the diesel tank for greater capacity if it's bigger. I am assuming a diesel tank would be bigger, I'd hope so.

the tanks in the 93 gasser are exactly the same size and shape as the 97 diesel. 19g in front and 18.2g in back. and as bad as gasser gas mileage is, i would think you want bigger tanks for the gasser lol.

I'm thinking I need to remove the sending unit / pickup assembly from the diesel and use it on the gasser tanks. Obviously removing the sending unit/fuel pump from the gasser first. As long as the gasser tanks are not galvanized on the inside, I think they are ok to use diesel.
Does anyone know if the inside of the gasser fuel tanks are coated / galvanized?

since diesels typically get better fuel economy than an equivalently sized gas engine, isn't that backwards?
