Fuel Stabilizer for Diesels

I am a carburetor/gasoline guy.
A buddy of mine has an RV diesel. He runs it infrequently, maybe twice a year.
He asked me if StaBil or like stabilizers are appropriate for diesel fuel tanks.
I know about corn gas but not diesel fuel.
Can anyone answer his question?

No need, really. Diesel doesn't have the light aromatics that gasoline does, so not as much to evaporate off.

Diesel should probably be treated (in a fuel tank) with a biocide to prevent algae growth for long term storage afaik.

At least they did in the .mil, they actually use a kind of Kerosene in basically everything. JP8, used in acft so they also added PRIST, a de-icing chemical. It is strange sounding, but algae can grow in diesel fuel or the contaminants in the tank, water and minerals probably. Biokleen is one brand name. Diesel itself stores well.

algae growth is not a real problem in colder climates.
i have seen 25 year old fuel stored in an underground tank that still smells/looks/burns like new fuel up north, and on the other side of the equation i have seen 1 year old fuel stored in an above ground tank turn bad in north carolina over one summer.
