Question F3 disc brake conversion — yay or nay?

First off, I can't believe after all these years of BB forums that the search engine software is *still* only capable of 4 string or greater characters...
Kinda makes it difficult for a forum like this one based largely on F1, F2, F3, etc. < /rant >

Now the question at hand: does anyone make a disc brake kit (front) for the F3? So far everybody I've talked to says F1 only. I guess in my head I thought since much of the hardware would be replaced, there wouldn't be much difference. So what is the difference — spindle size?

Any ideas, short of replacing the front axle with one from an F1?

Thank you.

EDIT:
Ha! ...even the tags won't work for Fx designations!

The F1 disc brake kits are a direct bolt on for F2's and F3's. You lose the 8x6.5 bolt pattern for using an F1 disc kit for a 5 Lug.

These guys 1849 make a disc kit for Our trucks. I have an F2 and will be going this route.

Thank you!

Guess these sales guys don't know that their F1 kits would work with the bigger trucks... I'm not too concerned about lug patterns, as I haven't chosen final wheels yet.

I'm going to "attempt" a later F250 disc/rotor home built disc conversion. Some others have done it and I'd like to try it.

It will be a while before I get to that stage of my build but, I will be sure to post it if it works out.

Make sure you post up whatever you do for the other F2 F3 guys.

TSM in Colorado makes them and they are reasonable in cost. A few years ago I sent them my F3 spindles so they could make the correct brackets. See a current thread from BrizNasty called "TSM Mfg Front Disc Brake Conversion Kit Installation (Lots of pictures)"

TSM = The Street Machine MFG. Have fun
