I replaced all the o rings in the fuel bowl and fpr

 

It is, and I even triedstarting with ipr unplugged to see if it was stuck

 

You ever get that truck started? I stumbled across this thread. Look at post #4.

 

Thanks for the help, but the guy who owned the truck before be pulled the element and the wireing out before he sold it to me, I'm starting to wonder if it's an hpo issue or possibly an injector issue

So I now have replaced both valve cover gaskets, and re did all the accompanying wireing, trying to start again

 

Well post #4 happened to me this morning.....

 

I got it running! And I feel like a royal tool! Apparently, I never plugged the ipr back in after the rebuild. ..... so I plugged that back in and got smoke at the tail pipe, but it still wouldn't fire, so after using that flow chart above, I tested the glow plug controller, found it to be bad, so I replaced it, and now (after a little initial rough running) she runs better than ever!

 

Awesome. Don't worry. We all feel like tools once in a while. Even the ones that won't admit to it
