So the other day the driver side axle housing snapped in half on my Dana 50 ifs. There is next to no rust on it so its pretty strange that it cracked like that. I'm going to rip it out and see if I can weld it. I'm trying to set up a back up plan if that does not work out though. I have spent days trying to find the driver side axle housing and cannot seem to find one anywhere. Anyone have any clue where I may be able to pick this up if it comes to that?
I would say junk yard would probably be your best bet. They made the same set up from the mid 80's all the way untill 97, so it shouldn't be terribly difficult to source one.
Post up some pictures if you can, I'm curious to see what happened.
I have one sitting in my garage right now. I was going to pull the spindles and scrap it. I actually have it on CL right now but I have not had any interest.
well my brother who lives in VT is not coming down this weekend so he can't deliver it. I have it out of the truck. let me know if you are still interested

i got one ill sell but shipping might kill you from alaska
I had a change of heart. After seeing the extent of the damage I have been contemplating just doing the dana 60 swap. What exactly do I need to do that? Ive read a little about needing the pitman arm and shocks from the 350? Are there any parts from the 50 that can transfer over to a 60?
