steering problems

I have a 1966 Ford F100, that I purchased in 1992. The problem is that the steering is real tight when you turn corners, hard to turn. The steering has a little slack in it. The truck had set up for 8 yrs when I purchased it. It only has 66,000 miles on this truck. What could be the problem, any info would be deeply appreciated.

Have you greased the front end lately, may be 6-8 fittings down there than need a little nourishment.

knock the steering linkage off the spindles, then try to turn the them. you'll probably find one or both tight. heat and grease, then check for play.
