I have the front end rebuilt on my 81 f-100 2dw. And the steering is now loose on it. The dealership says this is what it should be like. Is there a way to tighten it up to be a little more stiff when driving and turning?
Do you mean loose as in a lot of play in the steering or do you mean it is just too easy to turn back and forth?
A new setup will turn smoother, if you want some resistance you can install a steering dampner. These are very helpful when 4wheeling, saves your fingers from being ripped off!
If there is play in the steering, you might need to adjust your steering box.
