Steering Wheel Puller

Hey guys!!

Looking to refresh the steering wheel on my X and wanted to make sure I was getting the right tool for the job

Amazon.com: Sonline 75mm Length Center Bolt Two Jaws Bearing Gear Puller: Automotive Amazon.com: Sonline 75mm Length Center Bolt Two Jaws Bearing Gear Puller: Automotive

Is that a proper tool to get the old one out?

I'm also open to suggestions if you guys know of a better tool or have any recommendations

Steering Wheel Puller

You'd be better off with OEM 27017 Steering Wheel Puller

There's threaded holes on the wheel you screw these bolts into

There were no threaded holes on my OE wheel.

It will come off without a wheel puller, just takes some time.

Thanks for the replies!!!

In my research, I did notice that the steering wheel didn't appear to have threaded holes, hence why I figured that 2 jaw puller was the best way to go. Just getting some feedback before ordering it

Steering Wheel Puller

Oh well, if that's the case, your knees and a rubber mallet will do it. Sorry to mislead.

I was under the impression "banging" it out could hurt the steering column. Is the tool I linked too not a good one or the right one?

No, that's safe. That's how I got through High School without contracting Herpies or getting Mecdacs mom preggers

Ford specifies a two jaw puller, in the two holes next to the steering shaft.
