Hi Guys!!

Been months since I last posted.

Have been very busy working on my 226.

So long story short I decided back in Feb to just get the motor rebuilt. I think it was just very tiered. As far as I know it was the original motor, never been rebuilt! And it looked like it. As I removed parts I noticed that all the gaskets either melted off or were never re installed as they serviced the engine.

The 226 has been at an engine builders for sometime and I hope to pick it up next weekend. I had it complete broken down and gone through. And yes is does cost a lot of money if you pay someone to do most of the work. I did pull the motor, which was not to bad since only 4 bolts hold it in.

Builder is going .30 over and adding a small grind on the cam. I am very excited and cannot wait to get it back. I have been buying and saving parts for some time.
I will also be dropping in a new WALKER Radiator, been sitting on it for over a year.

Anyways I do plan on posting some pics in the next week or so.

looks like I am in the same position you were when this post started. I have a good (appearing) starter project. 226 flathead, 6volt that I plan on converting, and big dreams with elementary skills. So I love the posts, keep them coming
