F2 brake lines

Does anyone else make brake lines for F2's other then inlinetube. That company is poor and has poor feedback.

John, I was not able to find anyone else when I was looking a couple of years ago. I think there are more ready-made options for the F1's.
So I ended up making my own using the copper/nickel line and getting a hand-held bender and also a flaring tool. Takes some practice to make flares and a bit of trial and error to chase minor fitting leaks but I think some of that will happen also with pre-made ones.
Hope this helps,
Tom

The Eastwood flaring tool was on special a short while ago with free shipping. Got one, and I must say it makes a perfect double flare every time, even on old corroded OEM brake lines (I had to try it). I'm making all new lines on the mixer.

I make my own lines too. Practice making a few double flares on some old tube and you will see how easy it is. Then you can go buy all the line you need and get busy.

Sure, click on my username - then go to View Public Profile, then you will see a photo gallery on the right side. It's called 'Ol Rusty'.

Here is a link that may work.

I'm curious about what you've heard/know about Inlinetube? I used their brake and fuel lines on my 64 Thunderbird several years ago and am happy with what I got. Their stuff was good quality and fit right with no issues. Unless something has changed, I wouldn't have any concerns buying from them again.

I also did all my own with copper/nickel line , also bought the same flaring tool that Eastwood sells just a domestic brand instead . It's very easy to do if you use wire templates to establish bend points .

52 merc. Look on ebay at their negative feedback. Some people have mentioned their stuff is poor.I noticed that they have different part numbers for 48 and 49, F2's. I thought they were identical trucks.

Hi John,

I'm surprised by the negative reviews on Inline Tube as well. I have used their lines on a couple of projects most recently a 55 Buick special and every single line was spot on. I know they but what they call a "shipping bend" in longer lines and I'm not a fan of that but I'm local so I just pick the stuff up and tell them when I order to skip the shipping bend. I wouldn't hesitate to use their products again in the future.

I'm kinda surprised Classic Tube doesn't offer anything for trucks above F1. Might be worth a phone call?????

Good Luck with your hunt,
Rich

I'd like to see a link to satisfy my curiosity. My search on ebay for "inline tube" didn't produce the results you described.

John,
I used a "Metal Brake Line Kit" on eBay for my '52 F3. It worked great, fit together perfectly, and I had some left over.

I think it would be more appropriate to look at overall ratings:

That's 1% or less dissatisfied customers...
