Oil Leak

Hello

I just did an oring kit for my fuel filter . I changed all fuel lines etc. No diesel leaks . I cleaned right down to metal. So I can see everything . I have done a lot of work on truck but still need help. It looks like it is leaking on the drivers side. Between the IHOP reservoir and the block. It is right near a plug. It seems to be seeping there. Not sure about it . Does not look like it is coming from the pump. Is there a gasket there? Thx

Can you post a picture? I'm not exactly sure where you are talking about. The hpop can leak at the hose connections, or the unserviceable plug on the bottom. There are orings on every plug in the valley on the heads.

I'm just not exactly sure where you are talking about so a picture or a little more of an explanation would help.

You just made me hungry.... (so should the IHOP reservoir be checked, and kept full of maple syrup? )

Nyuk nyuk nyuk. There is a plug behind the front cover to the right of the hpop. It's the check valve for the hpop depending on year. I don't know if the 94-5's have it but the 96-7 do. There is a o-ring on that plug

I had a leak exactly where you are describing and mine turned out to be the front cover leaking. There is an oil port from the front cover to the block there. The o-ring seal for the front cover was leaking. I had to pull the engine to fix it . I hope this isn't where yours is leaking.....but I'm also afraid it is.
