I have been dealing with an oil leak for some time now. Thought it was the turbo o-rings, but then the leak seemed to have stopped. I just checked again and the leak is back, but this time I was able to trace where it was coming from. On the rear of the HPOP, just below the fuel filter bowl is a large recessed area with a plug and snap ring... almost looks like a freeze plug with a snap ring holding it in. It is leaking out the bottom of this plug. Is there a seal or gasket in there that can be replaced? rebuilt? or is the HPOP shot? I have had NO experience with the HPOP, so I really am at a loss here. Help?
It sounds like this is the plug and clip you are speaking of. I'm sorry that I can't help you more that to just help define the part you're talking about as I have never tore one down either. My service manual does not show and servicable parts but that does not mean someone else here has not found a way. Good luck.

That is exactly where it is coming from, the oil seems to weep from the lowest part of that plug. Does anyone know if there is a seal behind there that is servicable?
Ok.... turns out this leak wasn't coming from there. There is a bolt (plug) right next to this. I believe it is either a drain or inspection hole for the HPOP? Anyway.... I put a 18mm wrench on it to check if it is tight. The thing spun around almost 1/2 turn! I think this may have solved my problem.
