cab mount sleeves...

i'm currently rebuilding my 1981 f150. it's had tons of things changed on it. a couple years ago, the motor died and it has been sitting collecting rust ever since. i started taking the interior apart to asses the amount of repairs and the cab was not worth even attempting to fix, so i got another cab. when i went after the cab mount bolts, almost nothing was left of them... one i hit with a hammer and it broke off. the rubber bushings were junk as were the sleeves and i have to rebuild/replace 4 out of the 6 cab mounts. does anyone have any specs on the cab mount sleeves as i'm pretty much out of money and need to replace them

They are unusual and you will need to buy new ones. Probably all of the vendors, like LMC, Jeff's Bronco Graveyard, NPD, etc will have them.

"buy" is something i can't afford at this point lmao

all i'm needing are some measurements and i can make them as i have access to just about any size pipe and washers/fasteners. being a welder also helps a lot. i got the cab with complete front clip for $350 and the bushings for $100(cheap for my area) and still have to buy all the steel to build a new flatbed and will be over what i can afford already... actually, i'm already over what i can afford lol

i'm also going to start a thread with pics for my rebuild process

I won't be able to help you then as I don't have the hardware here. It is with the truck at the body shop.

i've called several places and all i can come up with is broncograveyard.com in Michigan to even find part of what i need. i have a new set of cab bushings from energy suspension and i think i'm going to just have to guess for a measurement and just go with washers and a piece of pipe and hope for the best

If you know the inside diameter of the bushing and the know the diameter of the bolt - what is the difficulty? Is there something special about this sleeve?

I would think the length of the sleeve would be the height of the upper and lower urethane bushings together less a little bit for crush.

sounds simple the way you are looking at it. but, i want things to be proper as i simple don't like guessing on things like this. unfortunately, it looks like i have no choice but to guess
