RideRite air bags install costs
Firestone RideRite air bags.
Standard install. No compressor no inside pressure monitor. 2 wheel drive.
A local 4 Wheel Parts shop told me $400 to install.
Seems very high to me.
Some reviewers report about an hour each side to install.
I should mention that Amazon sells the exact same kit for $75 less than 4 wheel parts.

Does that include the air bags? Seems quite high to me for just install.
I have the Air-Lifts, but install is similar. The shop I went to offered military discount or free install. I took the free install. Having said that, the discount would have been about $45, so I imagine that is about what they see as the value of the install. It took 2 (clearly experienced) guys about 30 minutes to install (each one took a side). A third guy came along with a drill and drilled the holes in the bumper where I wanted them (less than 5 minutes).
I don't really have a good place to work under the truck or I would have installed them myself.

That would knock the snot right out of a $1000 bill.
Same install price even if I handed them the airbag kit bought through another vendor. Amazon sells the exact same kit for $310 free shipping.
I must be seriously out of touch on shop labor costs.
$400 to install a bolt on aftermarket product seems outrageous.
I will be making some calls shortly to other shops.

I called around at 3 places locally.
One would not even install customer supplied parts.
Another wanted $200 install and would charge me $470 for the same kit a person can get on Amazon for $310, but will install my supplied kit for the $200 clams.
Another quoted $250-$260 with my supplied kit.
Indeed......4 wheel parts are off the chart out of line for installs.

Just got mine in from amazon (shipped from SD trucking) for my 14 f250 2WD and took just a little time to put on. Only tool you may not have is the 1 1/8th socket for the frame bolt. The rest was tab A to tab B type install
I'm no guru under the hood but this was simple set up. Those guys are jacking you on an install for that price.

Exactly! To put things in perspective on that ridiculous quote, my son just had the auto tranny on his '02 F-350 totally rebuilt with a billet-style torque convertor and a new flex plate installed for $2800. So close to a grand for air bags is insane.
