'59 F100 Sun Visor Retainers or clips?
So, the '59 I bought a few weeks ago had no headliner, sun visors, etc. The old visors were with it, pretty trashed. I ordered new ones and easily installed them on the original brackets/rods and they work perfectly. However, it appears that there should be some sort of retaining clip, hook or bracket (whatever you want to call it) by the mirror on each side to clip the visor to. I have a pair of vertical screw holes on each side of the rear view mirror where I assume these would go.
I have no idea what these might actually look like. The catalogs I have don't list replacements for '59, although they do for other years, but it looks like for '59 these need to be maybe a couple inches long rather then the tiny little clips I see in the catalog. So, two questions, maybe three. Anyone have a photo of what these buggers look like, anyone know of anyplace that sells 'em (I didn't see the correct ones listed in Dennis Carpenter or LMC catalogs) or anyone perchance have a pair to sell?

Tim, I have a 57, and have previously owned a 58, and neither had any clips on the end of the visors. To my recollection the visors completely covered the support rod. Now, I could be wrong, but that is what I remember.
I am not near my truck, and I have checked my pictures, but I can not tell from them.
Hope this helps.

Hmm. Well the original visors have an "anchor pin" at the inside end and I see many other years have an "anchor pin retainer" which is apparently what the real name for these doodads are. There are clearly screw holes to mount these right where the visor anchor pin comes to. I'm wondering if '59 may have been the only year for this particular style. Carpenter has the retainers for 61-66, 68-72, 73-79, and they list an anchor pin that goes into the end of the visor for 57-66, but no retainer. My original visors had these pins installed, however if they had been removed before I got the truck I may never have known they existed. One of those silly little parts that's going to drive me nuts. It would seem odd to me that each side has perfectly positioned screw holes in exactly the spot where such a retainer would go if there wasn't any. The clips aren't on the visors themselves -- a rod comes out the end maybe an inch and would clip or hook into retainers, very similar to cars today.

The clips Cyclone shows have the two holes and are for rubber capped pin. They must be the correct clip.
The one that are in Maltmen's link are for 61-66 F100 and are available from Auto Krafters...
SUNVISOR ANCHOR PIN RETAINER 61-66 F-SERIES

Yes! The ones in cyclone-429 's photo appears to be exactly what mine should be. Now, where do i find a pair?
The local auto recycler (small town junkyard with a mountain of old cars and trucks) thinks he *might* have a '59 F100 out there "somewhere" and invited me out to snoop around. Just haven't had a chance yet.
But I don't mind paying for repros if some'e got 'em.
