If you're still sitting around waiting for the snow to melt you guys in the midwest might also enjoy reading Farm by Richard Rhodes. Similar style although a bit more serious as I recall.

LOL Kevin, how goes it? St. Joe's from kindergarten-8th. Springfield HS, for 9th. Lanphier for 10th and then Colorado Srings, CO for 11th and 12th. Those nuns didn't give me a choice, either learn to read or their would be painful consequences! Were you a "Little Eddie (EMS)?" I sure could use a chocolate honeymooner (or half a dozen) right now.

I wish I knew that when I plucked it off of the shelf. I was also looking at Studebakers, Chevys(47-54 as I already had a 57), Dodges(slim to none available) and Internationals(none available) for something to build. However, when I had the 57 Chevy, there was this 53-55 (not sure which one) on my way to work that I eyed twice a day, every day, for 4 years. Needless to say, had I not bought my 53, I'd probably still have a hole in my heart for one.

I just finished 485 (for that don't know, it's mainly about his experiences as an EMT), and I'm on page 60 of Coop. I enjoy Perry's dry wit.

Little Eddie= Edison Middle School student (that's what we called them back in the day form our St. Joe's perspective. I'll go stand by the mailbox until the honeymooners arrive.

I bought 'Truck' on eBay minutes ago, $2.99 and $2.99 shipping. It was cheaper than buying it for my Kindle.

I just finished the book (Truck). I love his writing style and very subtle humor! Not a whole lot on truck resto, because he admits to not being any kind of mechanic, but he clearly "gets it". There are a few paragraphs about driving it after it's back on the road, on deer hunting trips, etc. that will bring a smile (or tears) to any old truck guy's face. His descriptions of the people in his town almost make me want to move to a small town in northern Wisconsin...
