No, I talked to him about it this morning. It's an F-5 model which isn't on my wish list. I also swapped notes with Chuck, since it's just up the road from him, and he's not a bidder either. Has several F-5/6s already. At first look I thought it might be an F-2/3/4 based on the short wheelbase and small looking (18"?) front wheel, but no such luck. An F-4 would be of interest since I've never seen one, and have only heard of two. Stu
There's several jokes that come to mind playing on the name similarity, but none politically correct to make the connection. Speaking, though, of things related to Utah, I hope the member/friend I've been swapping notes with this week about an available F-3 M-H is able to make his deal on it. Hope to hear more later on this. Stu
Nonsense is OK. Coffee, not so much. Nonsense, sure!
I wonder how Albatross would feel about sharing our tiny city driveway with a four-wheelin' friend? Can you imagine trying to make that thing fit down a wooded trail?

Utah? Didnt them men in the big hats originate in Illinois??
"The Big Hats" is what the Yutas (Ute) indians called the mormon immigrants when they came to Utah.
Imagine if they only had one of those trucks instead of pulling a hand cart accross the plains.

Actually, Joseph Smith lived in New York State just across the PA border before he moved him and his followers westward. Yes, an All-Wheel Drive truck would have come in handy!

Nauvoo, IL, is indeed one of our nicer historic sites. Too bad the migration west from there preceded the availability of AWD by about 100 years. Somewhat unrelated, I learned this past summer that one of the largest Marmon-Herrington distributors in the country was located in Davenport, IA. It must have been a portal for distribution to the western states. Stu
That's a good one, and just so not one single organization feels like they are being singled out or picked on; this applies to quite a few individuals in multiple organizations. (the nonsense that is)
time for a refill on my coffee!

Have you scoured the back streets, alleyways of that town? surely there has to be something tucked away near there?

Nauvoo is mostly a historical site, but yes I've back roaded the Alton, Elsah, and Grafton area. The River Road (IL Route 100) is a very popular drive, especially this time year with fall color. Stu
