Good stuff. Will get them charged up tonight and find a buddy to help me with a ficm and load test and report that back hopefully tomorrow. One question, is it normal for voltage to raise after potentially fixing a bad wire or connection? It started at 9v, after I cleaned and checked stuff it was 10v and now just before the charger they were at 11.1?

Batteries can rebound. I thought I was stranded on a beach about 2 miles from the closest road one time because I left the stereo on too long and drained the battery to the point that the audio amp was clipping. Obviously the truck wouldn't start. I turned everything off and was calling people for help. A few minutes later I hit the key just for the 'what the hell' and the truck started.

Sadly only rebounded to 11.2 and have the charger on it now set at 8A overnight to charge them both up.

What voltage should it read in the morning, they will probably be overcharged.
Just after about 45 minutes they were at 12.9v

EDIT: My buddy tells me it's an intelligent battery charger and it turns off when they're fully charged so I guess I'll see in the morning.

IIRC a fully charged battery should read 12.7 V

I don't know whether this will work, it was uploaded on my phone but here's the white smoke video. It does this regardless of been cold or fully warm.

What does the white smoke smell like ? sweet like coolant or fuel, Sorry I'm droping in late and haven't read all the posts , have you parked truck nose down hill over nite and check for coolant in the EGR port?
1. Bad Injector
2, EGR cooler going south
3. Thermostat hanging up
4. Take a look in the degus bottle and look for fuel

Exhaust does not smell like coolant, it smells like a normal diesel should. Degas bottle is clean, only a smell of coolant in there, no diesel.

Have pulled my egr valve twice and both have been dry pulls.

How would my thermostat cause this issue?
How would a bad injector cause this aswell?

as long as its not white misty coolant smell pointing to Heads, a Thermostat if not opening all the way would not allow heated coolant hit the EGR cooler cold how does you ECTs look?
The Q for Injectors would be Stiction on one maybe more? I would look closely for Injector O-rings leaking or even cups would mix fuel with coolant, the reason for Degus Check. I know Jiffy lube has a meter to check for fuel in coolant.

I should add i did the PSI test for heads and don't go above 8 ever. I may have to get a Fuel/Coolant check then by the sounds of it. Ordered en EGR delete today anyways, just because. Going to get an oil cooler, coolant filter and change my coolant from ford gold. Just not the best time of year to be flushing with water

I do hear the turbo spool up at idle, but now that you mention it and i listen a little better, the turbo does seem to almost surge until high idle kicks in
