Alternator Removal:

I'm doing my EGR delete, but the alternator is kickin' my butt!
What's the trick to getting the connector with the green and orange wire off of the alternator? I'm squezzing and pulling up to no avail, and once again afraid I'm going to break something!

It isn't bolted down with a nut on a post? If I remember right when I changed my alternator out this was how mine was.

I just did my EGR delete last weekend. I just went out and checked my truck again. I have two connectors on my alternator. The positive feed that is held on by a nut. The other is a push connector with two wires coming out of it. I had to squeeze the connector and then pull up. I just tried it again and it came out without issue.

There must be something wrong with the connector... It comes off really easily normally.

I suspect you are referring to the passenger side up pipe. I ended up using a couple long extensions and unbolted it in minutes. The same for putting it back on (once the bolt and nut is started). The first time I took it off it took me hours.

I may have rounded one of the bolt heads. Thinking about getting in there with a dremel and cutting them off.
