Went out to my truck yesterday to check 4 wheel for winter and got nothing in 4 hi them tried 4lo. it locked in now won't come out. i tried the neutral brake thing but didn't work. Some help would be appreciated. Thanks. Its a 1998 F250. With the 5.4

 

two things happen when you move the dash ****.. ELectric motor on the transfer case connects the front drive shaft and picks HI or LO.... then the vacuum cylinder on the front axle pumpkin pulls in and connects the half shafts to the driveshaft. What lights are on the dash when you switch back to 2 x 4 ?

 

When i switch it back to 2 wheel both the 4x4 light and thr low range light stay on
once in a while i can get low range to go off but when i put it into gear the light comes back on.
