Who has the best electrical ceramic sockets for OBS trucks?

I need to replace all my sockets for my exterior and headlight/parking/side markers. Some are cracked and broken on edges. Installing new higher powered bulbs and need the most heat-resistant wiring and sockets.

How about go LED. They are brighter, and draw less power. Also, they run cooler. The lighting system in these trucks leave A LOT be be desired, I would not be adding to the problem

Hey DB. have been thinking about that. But, don't I still need good sockets to plug into?

"Good" sockets, yes. But I'd say with the significant current draw difference between LED and incandescent, ceramic isn't necessary. Headlights might be the exception here since they won't be LED and the housings do get quite warm. I've had good luck with the small number of sockets I've bought at NAPA. Do you have a headlight relay harness planned?

Personally I do not really care for LED replacement bulbs. They generally do not fully illuminate the light. The hot spot may be brighter, but the rest of the light is dimmer. Having new or clean lenses with new Sylvania long life bulbs isn't exactly dim. Its close to the brightness of many newer cars.

The headlight relays are great when used with Xtravision bulbs or even regular bulbs.

You haven't bought the right bulbs yet, then. LEDs are now available in very elaborate 360-degree arrays with 15, 20, 25 LEDs per "bulb". Very expensive, yes. But most of the hot spotting should be eliminated.

What is wrong with the stock sockets? Are they melted or something?

Exactly. I spend $24 PER BULB for 3157s and 3156 LED bulbs And they illuminate PERFECTLY

Yeah, I'd like to see them too. I saw several multi-LED bulbs, and was fairly certain they'd work in the running lights, but I knew it wouldn't be long until I either saw some in person or heard a good review on them from someone on here so I just waited.

Also, not to thread hijack, but has anyone seen replacement LED tag lights that would fit in the stock openings? If not, I was thinking of making some.

DB- sockets appear to be brittle and chipped.
