Turning right kills the engine
Ok here goes, I got a 96 f-250 7.3 with 240000 I bought it last month. It has started easy and been dependable up until last week when it started to miss or skip when you turn the wheel to the right. I started to investigate and noticed that idling standing on the ground and rocking the cab I can make skip or miss. Here's a list of things I have looked at- replaced cam sensor , looked for chaffed wires on and underneath engine, I have good fuel pressure to the bowl with a new fuel filter. I have went down the check list of trouble shooting that is listed here for most common problems. The truck will start and idle fine you just can't move the truck without shuddering and killing the engine . Any ideas before I seek professional help. Thanks in advance.....

I decided to take a closer look at the PCM on the inside of the fender ( or ECM not sure which it is called ) and began to unbolt after disconnecting battery cables and lifted out silver box. I examined it closely and noticed the vent material in the back was completely gone and the little unit had water in it. I began tilting and out ran what I guess was two teaspoons full of water. I am confident this is my problem, does anyone know good way to dry out this box?

Thanks fordman67 for the tip on how to dry out the IDM. It was the problem and after doing the search you suggested I was able to dry it out successfully. I love this site, you guys are gonna change me from a parts hanger over to a mechanic yet.
