Hard to shift transmission lever when cold.
95 F350 351W with the C6 tranny. Its been in the single digits up here in the frozen north and when I first start up my truck I feel like I'm going to bend the shift lever getting it out of park and into any gear. Once I drive it even for a few minutes its like normal. If I let it sit running for a couple minutes it is slightly better but not by much. I know it is because of the cold but this is a new problem that's never happened before and it shouldn't be this hard to shift. Just wondering if this is a clue to something worse coming!! Thanks for any help you can give me.

What I would do is get a lube that will work in that enviroment and spray the shift mechanizum on the trans, you may have gotten water or snow in there and the warm trans has melted the snow then when it sits if freezes. Lube all the moving parts of that mechanixum. thats where I would start, if not report back and we'll go from there!
