Best spark plug for 08 6.8L V-10

I have searched and still can't come up with the best/safest spark plug for my 2008 F-250 6.8L V-10.
There are 6 differiant plug choices at my local auto parts dealer.
I have 42,000 mi on my truck and it runs great, should I change the plugs?

Motorcraft is the best choice. Try Rockauto for the best price. I woudl change them about every 60k.

Motorcraft plugs are the best, just MAKE SURE they are the one piece plugs and the dealership is not trying to get rid of the two piece plugs at your expense. I change mine every 50K.

Depends what design you have. I am almost 100% positive the breakage issue was never fixed with the Motorcraft or Autolite plugs for the old design 3V plug, they are still 2 pc. For those engines I would go with a 1 pc plug like Champion or Brisk.(Rock Auto has good prices on the champion) You can pull one of the COPs and see what the color the COP boot is. Trucks with the old design are supposed to have black COP boots and the new design is supposed to have brown COP boots. For the most recent design mid 08'up plug I would go with the Motorcraft. You could probably stretch the plugs out to 50k miles without problem but you just do not not know what issues you could run into if you have the old design plugs.

New design 1 pc top. Old design 2pc bottom. Not interchangable.

YA I dont think that Motorcraft changed the design of the two piece plugs.

I think I'll pull a plug out tomorrow to see what type plug I have.

I checked and have the brown boot, I'm attempting to remove the plug per TSB.

Thanks guys

Since you have the brown boot you should have the new design that does not snap off. Take it slow removing the plug and do it on a cool engine and you should be fine. Do not be surprised if the plug squeals a little on the way out. With the new design plugs you could most likely leave them in a while yet.

I removed the plug before I read your last post.

YOU ARE 100% CORRECT...IT DID SQUEAL!... gave me that sick feeling but it came out without an issue. The plug looks good so I may just leave them in till 60K.
(used Aero Kroil as a lube, took 15-20 min total)
Thanks for the help.
