No Speedo WTF !
Hey guys, long time since my last post I'm still bleeding blue
So yesterday I was driving at night in a small neighborhood on a side street teaching my female friend how to drive a manual. I had my dial (light) turned to the far counter clockwise so the interior light was on and she could see my shifting.
Parked ny beauty shortly there after in my driveway and we grabbed a few beers blankets and laid in the bed and star hunted lol ya I'm redneck Romeo..
In the morning I jumped in ny truck and started to drive, opened my glove box hmm no light turned on my interior lights all 3 hmm no light and than the kicker looked down no odometer and no speedometer the odometer bas vanished from the green light area and my speedometer needle lay dormant. Like I said in the title WTF
Hoping u fine ford junkies can assist me in my WTF moment!
Thanks - Aaron

Yep.
And make sure the fuse fits into the fuse holder nice and snug.
I had a "tap in connector" in fuse #8 holder that was loose, which caused intermittant connections.
My speedometer needle would intermittantly bounce all over the dial and cause my E4od transmission to go wacko as well.
That was a time consuming "find and fix".
Good luck,
Bob

Wonder which engineer though that up, powering the speedo off the dome light fuse...... That fuse caused my friend to dump $$$$$$$$ into a E4OD rebuild and it STILL would not shift correctly. The tranny shop could not figure it out and blamed it on the knock sensor being bad!!
I bought it from him and found that the fuse was blown.... Now I got a good rebuilt 300I6/E4OD package.
If you keep blowing that fuse, check the dome light socket. It was melted from the bulb being hot and shorted intermittantly causing a big issue above.

Nice score on the "300I6/E4OD package".
