e4od transmission not shifting
I got a 93 7.3idit with automatic transmission,(e4od). The truck runs good except for the transmission will not shift. I can manually put it into second from the column shifter and the truck will stay in second or I can manually put it into first from the column shifter and it will stay in first. The truck pulls strong in either of these gears but will not shift on its own. My tach works but my speedometer does not work and I have an abs light on. Any ideas on what is going on with it?

she can't work without a speedo because it's electrically controlled.without the speedometer,it's lost (save for manual 1/2 and r as you discovered)
start with the basics.check the fuses for the speedometer.
interior fuse panel;
fuse 8 speedo mem (on with dome light.so if light works,this fuse is ok.)
fuse 18 speedo
tip;
if the dome light fuse blew,remove the dome light assembly and inspect for bare wires.repair as needed.
