Oil change question

Well it looks like WallyWorld here has stopped selling
Rotella T6 15/40. They do have Rotella T6 5/40

The question is can I use that during the summer?
I will be driving from Washington into California,
Nevada, Oregon and Idaho.

T-6 5W40 is a synthetic, 15W40 is dino and T-5 is a synthetic blend. Take your choice. T-6 is not a 15W40.

i'm running 5/40 now, in sunny so calif.

when hot, a 5/40 and a 15/40 will have the same
viscosity, that of a 40 weight.

it should make no difference.

I use the 5W40 year round also. In the 100's the last week. The truck loves it and so does the turbo.

T6 is all I use. But 5k changes are highly recommended with shorter intervals if you do a lot of towing.
