1990 Ranger 4.0 MAP sensor question...
Still trying to get this truck to run right. I recently added some new ground cables throughout the truck. It seems to be running more consistant, however fuel economy and performance is suffering. You really have to stomp on it to get this thing to move, it feels lazy. I am looking into possible MAP sensor problems. If what I am looking at is the MAP sensor it's located on the firewall almost directly above the coil pack. It has a 3 or 4 wire (can't remember exactly) plug in it and what looks like maybe a vacuum port on it. My question is on this sensor, is it supposed to have a vacuum line on it doesn't look like it's had one on it) ; and where should it be connected to? I have searched high and low and cannot find a good diagram to see what goes where. Anyone have any underhood pictures of their 90-92 Ranger 4.0 engine compartment? Any help and advise is appreciated!
